I know some of you have come across the Enskats blog and are wondering what is going on! Well let me fill you in. For a few months we have been looking for respite for Yuri. I have been trying and trying to get him services, a walker, get him in school and have just hit walls left and right. Through RR rainbow I met an amazing woman who I swear is my long lost twin sister. We spoke a ton about Yuri, medicaid, services and such. She has provided respite to other families and offered to do this for us. After a lot of prayer, we decided to take her up on her offer. We met almost half way and got to meet her two oldest Hannah and Abby who were awesome little girls and SO great with the littles. Josh instantly clicked with her hubby and we couldn't get the guys to quit yapping so they could leave.
Anyway, Yuri connected instantly to Michelle and was completely comfortable. Which made it a little easier to see him drive away. Yuri has been with the Enskats for a few weeks now while we have been traveling around and he is thriving!! He fell asleep in the car for the first time EVER on their way home. He ate a whole apple and some carrots without them being pureed. He chewed and everything! He is already on medicaid and she is working on getting him a Kaye walker. I'm amazed at how well he is doing!! Check out their blog to see the latest pictures.
We serve an amazing God and I'm seeing His hand at work. Please pray for us, for Yuri, and for the Enskats.
With Yuri visiting the Enskats we have gotten to spend much more time with the other littles. Bohdan has really come out of his shell. He is one smart cookie and amazes us everyday. Our whole extended family has completely fallen head over heels in love with him and I'm not sure he has been put down on the floor in the last few weeks. He is definitely taking to this spoiling. Well I must go pack, so I will upload pictures next time.
Thanks for all your prayers, support and love.
PS.... I know many of you feel very attached to Yuri and are concerned for him. Please know we don't make any decisions lightly or without prayer. Also please understand that I can't share all the details on this blog due to shear time and privacy. Having said all of that, please keep your comments uplifting and supportive. As mom always said "if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all." Thanks. :o)
