My first blog giveaway

But first an update: We are leaving for EE on the 11th, Yikes! My kiddos will be staying with my brother, my cousin, my aunt and my grandma. I have written manuals for them (I'm up 8 pages).
I know they are in good hands and will be loved to pieces but I know it will be hard for them to be away from home and Mommy and Daddy.

On to the give away!

Ok so this is not my original idea. It is my dear bloggy friend Adeye's but it is so good I just had to do it on my blog.

I will be giving away the best and most life changing book in the world besides the Bible, Radical by David Platt to one lucky reader. How to win? Watch this video and leave me a comment about it. I'm going to use random.org to choose the winner on Friday the 10th. So I can get the book mailed to the lucky reader before we leave to get our boys!

This video is awesome, well produced and gave me goosebumps. When it was over Josh and I looked at each other and said, "WOW!!" It's super good!

Enjoy! And Good Luck!

  2. This video is well filmed and a sad testimony to today society..I dont understand how people can just walk away when everyone can do something.I read alot of reeces adoption blogs..and even though iam not rich i have donated something to each one..I tell my children even 5 dollars could change everything..why cant everyone do that???

  5. Watched it and posted on my blog. So true, brought me to tears. As a Christian it was very convicting. How am i living differently for Christ, in our society we want everything easy, safe. Adoption is the biggest faith step I have ever taken. I am scared but at the same time excited to see how God is going to work in our lives. Thanks for sharing this.

  8. I love Eric and his wife leslie's books. and I loved this video. I'm currently living and teaching in haiti, and I have made my self a promise that whether its just a wave from a vehicle or a hi, hello and a hug, I can show my love to these kids that don't get any love else where

  9. I had been avoiding watching the video for a few days, but finally gave in to God and watched it, and now I know why I had been avoiding it, because I wanted to stay in the indifference and not fully face the truth, God is morphing my heart into a woman who will when time is ready will take in as many of the least of these as I can!

  10. I've been wanting to read that book! The video brought me to tears. We have 3 young boys (two adopted from China) so it really hit home. So often it is the boys who wait and get passed by. Breaks my heart. Boys are wonderful!

  11. Wow. That made me cry! I like when he talked about how WE are God's hands, WE are God's feet. It's something you hear a lot in church, but that video made it such a powerful statement.

  14. I actually saw that video on another blog a few days ago...it is so convicting. Especially when he illustrates what he would do and how he would feel if that little boy on the road was his son...when those poor children have no one to come to their rescue. so sad.

Blessings and good luck on your trip!
