One more day

Oh my goodness! I only have one more day with my lovies until I leave them for a month or more! I'm soaking in every moment. They haven't gotten completely comfortable here yet but they are having a good time.

So tomorrow I'm starting the physical journey to get my babies. I'm flying back home to get Josh and then off we go! Oh my!

Only one more day to leave a comment to be entered in to my giveaway. I will draw the winner tomorrow at noon. That way I can get it mailed before we leave.

Look what I found! The original listings for my boys. I was so excited to read these again.

Wade (3)

Wade (3)

Boy, Born December 11, 2007
Little Wade….new to Reece’s Rainbow, we are so glad to be a voice of hope for him! He is in need of an adoptive family! Wade was born with a heart condition, but he has already had corrective surgery. This orphanage has a history of medicating the children, so many of them look sleepy and zoned out in their photos. It is imperative to find families for all of these children quickly. Wade can be adopted with Nikita below, and or any of the other children listed in orphanage 3.
From an adoptive family who visited with him in June 2010: Wade is ANGELIC. Honestly, the pictures do not capture just how precious he actually is. I longed to run out of there with him in my arms, together with my girls. He just captured my heart. He is so quiet and sweet. I never heard him cry once in all the time I was there. He is, very unfortunately, drugged most of the time. He has HUGE blue eyes, and his hair has a reddish tint to it. His eyes are stunning. I never saw him sitting on his own. Every time I was there he was lying down. I don’t know if he is able to sit, or not. He has a bump on the front of his head, and at the back of his head, just as our daughter had. These children purposefully bang their heads on the crib as a means of stimulation. It is typical orphanage behavior for children who are so severely neglected. Wade is absolutely precious–he has such a sweetness about him. You can’t help but want to scoop him up and love on him. I have no doubt that he will BLOSSOM in a family.

Yuri (3)

Yuri (3)

Boy, Born 2007 Yuri is a sweet little boy who was born with mild CP. From his other photos, he may have some hydrocephaly, but he is very very smart, physically able to stand on his own and pull up, and should definitely not be in this “laying room”! From an adoptive family who visited with him in June 2010: “Yuri is so sweet. He seems to be pretty high functioning. I have no idea why they put him in that room. He will do so well with some stimulation. He is LONGING to get out of that darn crib. He loved Hailee so much. They had to put his crib right next to hers so that he could see her. When Anthony went back to the orphanage (after the girls left) they told hime that he would not stop crying because she was gone :( Tells me he’s rather smart. ” MORE PHOTOS AVAILABLE

  1. That first picture of "Wade" is the one that really touched my heart when I first saw it. He looks so tiny and precious but those sleepy little eyes, he looks as though he can barely keep them open, and knowing why he looked that way just completely broke my heart. Now I'm crying :o) I hope you'll blog as often as you can because I am very excitedly waiting to watch your journey unfold and see those two boys blossom in your love and care.

  6. Many blessings for you on your trip. Yuri reminds me so much of one of my cousins- in this spesific photos. May God guard your hearts for those first meetings when you see the circumstances that your boys are put in. I guess there is so much to be said about "that room" so my prayer is that God will show you what to reveal when you're there and what later, so that people will know enough to change their hearts to become involved.

  7. I remember when the boys were first listed, I feel in love with them right away:) I was so very happy when I learned that a family was going to bring both of them home, and that they would get to be brothers! And then the excitment of your wonderful news of how you were blessed with the funds to bring them home. What an awesome story this has been so far. Thank you for letting us all follow along. I can not wait to see those boys in your arms, and then to watch them grow, and learn once they are rescued from that room. Go get your boys Autumn!!!!!!!
